WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?
THE BRAVE STORY THAT'LL SWELL YOUR HEART WITH PRIDE
THE GALWAN VALLEY INCIDENT
Hi guys! Today I'm going to narrate the brave story of our Indian Army that's gonna give you goosebumps. After listening to it your respect for the Indian Army and especially its Bihar regiment will will increase. So let's begin..
According to top sources the attack conducted in the night of 15th and 16th June by the Bihar regiment on the Chinese soldiers will be known as the bravest and the deadliest in military history. On 15th June, a meeting was conducted by the Col. level officers of both sides at a point in galwan valley called Patrolling Point 14 and India was represented by the commanding officer of the 16th battalion of Bihar regiment, Col. Santosh Babu because his unit 16 Bihar was posted at this patrolling point 14. In this meeting, the Chinese Col. agreed to remove their tents from point 14. Actually these tents were an observation post of People's Liberation Army through which Durbuk, Shob and DBO abbreviated Daulag Beg Oldi road could be surveilled. This post was on a high peak and under the jurisdiction of the Chinese army but because both the countries were tied up by an agreement so both the countries could patrol this disputed region but none of the armies could make any temporary or permanent posts here.
The Chinese army had made a temporary observation post here, the Indian army opposed it and a decision was taken in the meeting that even the Indian army will move back from this collision site and Chinese soldiers will detach their post from there. In the evening when Col. Santosh, in the leadership of a Major rank officer sent a patrolling party of 12 personals to ensure if the Chinese had removed that post or not. When the party reached that point just to notice that the Chinese hadn't withdrawn their observation post.
Since this party hadn't carried any weapon with them as a result they were captivated by the noodle eyed. As soon as this news reached Col. Santosh, he immediately along with his two officers directly reached the Chinese group so that through talks he could free those captivated soldiers. As they reached the camp, the Chinese outnumbered them and surrounded them from all sides. Those three were deliberately beaten with sticks, rods and cues with barbed wires. Due to this surprise attack, Col. Santosh and his two officers gave up on the spot. For any battalion a commanding officer is like a father and when the news of Col. Santosh reached, each soldier of 16 Bihar had his blood boiling.
Then 2nd in command and two young officers took up the responsibility of the unit and these three officers in collaboration with the Bihar regiment's Ghatak commandos laid such an attack on the Chinese camp that the Chinese army can never ever forget. During this time they were supported by the soldiers of the field regiment who were posted there at that time. Midnight had arrived and so had Tuesday and it was time for the Chinese to know that their competition was with that army that was world famous for its gallant and heroics.
The sacrifice of Col. Santosh gave rise to a new fire in 16 Bihar. The 2nd in command, a Lt. Col. rank officer and the two Capt. rank officers along with 300 soldiers attacked the Chinese camp at night. The soldiers sitting on the hill threw stones on the Indian soldiers but the brave soldiers of 16 Bihar reached the post and put the Chinese camp on fire. This time even the Indians were carrying sticks and rods. Attack was even carried on by rifle butts but because both the countries were bounded by an agreement, no firing took place. This fight lasted for many hours.
The Ghatak commandos broke necks of the Chinese soldiers and 15 of them gave up on the spot. Many Chinese soldiers' heads were even crushed by rocks. However the Chinese soldiers were already suited up with riot gears due to which sticks and rods didn't show any effect. It is believed that the Ghatak commandos are present in every infantry battalion and 1 Ghatak platoon consists of minimum 20 commandos which work as a shock troops. These 20 commandos consist of a commanding captain, two non commissioned officers and some specialized soldiers like the sniper team, light machine gunners, medics and radio operators. Other commandos work as a assault troopers. The 2016 POK surgical strikes included the Para sf along with the Ghatak commandos of 6 Bihar.
In the morning of Tuesday, as the Indian soldiers were giving a befitting reply to the Chinese, suddenly the hill where the camp was situated broke due to the intense combination of mass of the soldiers. The soldiers fell down in the icy cold flowing galwan river. A large amount of soldiers from either sides died. While 20 soldiers including Col and his two officers sacrificed their lives and around 18 injured, the Chinese felt a bigger jerk when 45 - 50 of their soldiers died and around 150 injured. Many bodies of the Chinese soldiers were extracted by stopping the flow of the river.
To celebrate the heroics and courage of Bihar regiment, the Northern Command released a video titled, 'KARAM HI DHARAM' which is a motto of Bihar regiment. This video said that after every Monday comes a Tuesday because it was on Tuesday that Indian soldiers broke the back of the Chinese. Otherwise also Tuesday is for Hindu god Hanuman and Jai Bajrangbali is a war cry of Bihar regiment. To hide all this, the Chinese media has issued many fake reports and even the Chinese External Affairs ministry is laying emphasis that the Indian army had crossed the LAC and started this aggressive fight but the Indian army just had to say that they did it because their commanding officer was killed by crook. It was just for revenge.
